We are Schanzer Racing Electric e.V., a non-profit organization and the Formula Student team at the Technical University Ingolstadt. Our team currently consists of 60 members, who are studying in various courses from business to automotive engineering.
Every year we design, develop and build a formula race car featuring an electric drivetrain - our SRe.
With these we compete against other universities from around the world at the international design competition - Formula Student.
However, it is not just about the race events - but also about enthusiasm for technology, innovations and, above all, team spirit.
Every day, our members invest many hours of their free time in our workshop or in the office in order to acquire new knowledge, construct parts of the SRe, or work directly on the vehicle.
In 2010 a few brave alumni had the idea to build a Formula Student race car and compete against other teams.
After only two years the hard work paid off - we entered the Formula Student Germany at the Hockenheimring with our first vehicle - our "First Lady".
In the first year we were able to secure the 8th place at FSG.
Further successes followed quickly over the next few seasons.
Since then, we have been developing and designing a new vehicle every year at the Ingolstadt University of Technology. To ultimately be the fastest on the racetrack.
